Director of Oligonucleotide Chemistry - New Jersey (FullTime)

The individual in this position is responsible for the development and improvement of oligonucleotide syntheses processes and for the management of contract oligonucleotide production activities. The individual will be accountable for the development and implementation of scale-up processes while increasing throughput and yield. Central to this position is the production of materials for support of regulatory filings and the cultivation of internal relationships (QA, Analytical, Regulatory, Process Sciences) to facilitate issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in organic chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent.
• 5-8 years years experience in an industrial biotechnology, manufacturing/quality/development environment is critical.
• Experience with oligonucleotide synthesis is necessary.
• Familiarity with small molecule synthesis, process development and scale-up highly desirable.
