Eyetech Pharmaceuticals is building a state-of-the-art Research and Preclinical Development facility in Lexington, Massachusetts to accommodate its expanding Research & Development efforts. Summary

We are recruiting for a biological light/laser microscopist with image analysis expertise. This talented individual will provide hands-on support to facility investigators and contribute to department research. Recruit to report directly to the head of morphology/cell biology. We are searching for a scientist to contribute in a fast-paced, challenging R&D; environment. The ideal candidate will be trained in light microscopy, confocal laser scanning microscopy, image analysis and computer science; electron microscopy is optional. A strong interest in molecular imaging and cell biology is highly desired. Projects span basic science, pre-clinical and clinical studies. This position includes the opportunity to work and learn alongside seasoned, well-published scientists and make significant contributions to our research objectives. It takes determination and dedication to create a pipeline of potential products that may not only help improve the quality of vision, but also quality of life. Qualifications

  • Appropriate seniority with regards to education and research experience.
  • Light and laser scanning microscopy including digital capture.
  • Quantitative image analysis including graphic displays; data basing and archiving.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of experiments and studies.
  • Approachable and friendly; comfortable with a team-based environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills; clear note booking essential.
  • Knowledge of drug development, GLP compliance, regulatory affairs a plus.
