Logistics Specialist (FullTime) Apply for this Job

Summary

  • Prepare shipping documents.
  • Package temperature sensitive shipments according to Work Instructions.
  • Track all shipments until delivered, and notify consignee.
  • Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work area, and maintain security of the warehouse area.
  • Manage inventory levels and availability of supplies (i.e. dry ice pellets, packing materials, qualified shipping containers, etc.).
  • Break down and de-palletize shipping containers and store in caged warehousing area.
  • Receive, store, and ship API according to Work Instructions and SOP’s.
  • Download, document, and return downloaded information of all temperature monitoring devices to shipper.
  • Develop local stocking and restocking delivery schedules.
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors.
  • Develop and modify Work Instructions and SOP’s as needed.
  • Act as backup to the Logistics Manager in the planning and ordering of starting materials for API manufacture.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels of organization with diplomacy and tact.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word. Access, and Excel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
