Associate Scientist (Job Code: JW-AS 1)-location: Woburn, MA (FullTime) Apply for this Job

Eyetech is building a state-of-the-art Research and Preclinical Development facility in Lexington, Massachusetts to accommodate its expanding Research & Development efforts. Eyetech is committed to promoting innovative science in a creative and dynamic environment. In addition to retaining staff scientists, Eyetech actively promotes training through MD and PhD fellowship programs.

This position will perform and support existing assays and develop new assays, to facilitate the drug development efforts of both the Drug Discovery and Drug Delivery programs.

Summary

  • Perform cell based and in vitro assays
  • Analyze and present data
  • Conduct experiments
  • Exercise technical discretion, in design execution and interpretation of experiments
  • Prepare data presentation
  • Maintain familiarity with current scientific literature
  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses

Qualifications

  • This position requires an M.S. degree with 2-4 years experience or a B.S. degree with 4-6 years experience, and molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology skills.
  • Previous experience in assay development and validation desired.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to think creatively, and the proven ability to excel in a team-based environment
